FatMumSlims's September Photo A Day Challenge List!

I've been doing FatMumSlim's photo-a-day challenge for a few months (August was not as successful as I hoped) and I thought I'd help spread the word since it's a fun little community to be a part of. I already love taking photos, and I love sharing my photos so this challenge is always enjoyable for me. Even if you do not want to share your photos on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, InstaGram, etc. you can still partake on your own time. Take a break each day and snap a photo, "stop to smell the roses".

Krystal's August Honest Bundle!

Jamison's 6mon check up

Tuesday was Jamison's 6mon check up, he also got a couple shots which he toughed out like a champ! He measured 26" tall and 18lbs! He's a solid boy! He's also teething and has a tiny speck (or "salt grain" as Michael calls it, lol!) showing through his bottom gums. He's slobbering all over the place and gnawing on EVERYTHING! hahaha! I think Madilyn started teething around this time as well. Both of our kids show the same teething symptoms so far, slobber and gnawing. Neither had fevers or fussiness, well, Jamison hasn't shown any yet.

My Future Beauty Nook

Over the past few months I've been struggling to make a decision on how I want my beauty nook aka office aka filming and photographing area to look. We have a third room that I want to transform from a messy space to store things into a family/guest/office room. It's a pretty large room with its own bathroom attached. We have an extra queen bed so that's why it's a guest room, we also have a second tv and tv stand so I can also have the kids in there during movie time or even nap time for Madilyn and she can nap in the bed.

We have an area at the entrance to the room where the sliding door is, here is where we are putting a cubby (horizontally) for all of Madilyn's toys and books. We are currently housing all her toys in the living room, but once we have the kids room setup and the family room hopefully we can have a more adult living room (toy free).

For my office area, I need a desk to blog at, film at, a workspace to set up products when filming and a naturally lit area for taking photos. I already have a table for taking photos, so that will go in the window corner for photo-taking. I just decided I'm going to get a long desk and a separate shelving unit to put on top, and I'm thinking of getting a few portrait lights to install in the shelving unit so I can hopefully film at night.

Aloha Festival, San Mateo [CA]

Last weekend we went to the Aloha Festival in San Mateo, CA. It was pretty fun. There were vendors, great food, dancers and music. Here's a few photos from Sunday

I decided to move Madilyn's drawings from our fridge to our dining room wall. I'm currently using scotch tape, but I want to go buy some cute push pins. She was so excited watching me put her pictures up on the wall :)
